Vorpal Blade: Eyes of Flame

Although he is a Water Elemental capable of impressive Water Magic, Bertrand knew he could not rely on that alone.  Looking to the Vorpal Blade he held onto for several years, the idea of enchanting it with another element came to mind.  A curious idea indeed, but who was he to deny it?

So off he went to the forge, bringing a fire pearl, three silver asters and the scalpel, and after some time, he successfully embued his vorpal blade with fire magic.  At first his talisman doesn't look very different, but when he demonstates an attack -

*FWOOSH!*

The blade has taken a completely new appearance! The subtle gold-leaf embelishment and smooth amethyst has transformed into a chaotic, jagged flame-adorned eye with a firey topaz. On the handle resides a thin glass tube that could potentially be filled with something... Flames? A liquid? Gas?  That will have to be decided. 

For now, the alternate form of the Vorpal Blade: the "Eyes of Flame" could serve as not only a meaningful weapon, but as a tool to alter Bertrand's Water elemental magic.
