Finley and Ghost-eye Ward off the army ants

2.Draw or write about your character trying to stop the boss without fighting it. Do they use the creepy crawly version of pied piper music to lure the vermin and pests out? Do they use a magic spell to make the critters constructive instead of destructive|

Finley met up with Ghost-eye. Both assigned to find some way to ward off the insects from destroying the nearby town. Ghost-eye channeled Phyrra, putting his hand to the ground and melting the dirt into a smooth stone as a ten-foot deep divet was made. The swarm arrived. Eating every tree, every blade of grass in their way. Nothing was left behind. No leaves, no sweet wild onions. Just a torn up trail of dirt where the ants roamed. Finley hurried to  channel some riverwater into the trench formed by Ghost-eye, making enough of a pipeline that the natural waterflow allowed gravity to shove the water down the trail. Ghost-eye managed to swim up this sudden gush of water, meeting with Finley face-to-face.

"You understand me well, boy. Now, It's time to drown them"

"Alright, but it doesn't seem like water alone can stop them". In reality, Finley had tried drowning them before and found that the species of ant could hold it's breath for... too long.

"Just continue  to make a wall of water and I'll take care of the rest"

Finley drew upon the riverwater, changing it's flow from something natural to a singular directional torrent towards the everpresent bugs. Once they crashed, some spilled over the wall's waterflow, falling into the river and slowly overtaking the "tide" created from Finley.

Ghost-eye leisurely dropped his arm in the water, feeling it's soothing cold nature... the Phyrra's inherent power took over. The insects in the water began to seem squeamish as they had a seizure. The water had started to steam up as flakes of boiling hot liquid shot all over the ants. Ghost-eye laughed, smiling. He'd remembered this type of tactic being used against him several times, though nothing nearly to the degree of his and Finley's support of each-other. Finley disliked how gingerly Ghost-eye was seeming.

Finley: "Hey, why aren't you taking this seriously?"

Ghost-eye played coy, teasing his accomplice, "I am serious. It is just that the smell of boiling fodder brings back happy memories. You would do well to follow suit. Remember this smell. Cherish it."

Finley: "Little busy keeping the wall up"

So it was that they managed to stave off a wave of ants. For how long? Who knows, but both of them were required to make any sort of progress in this situation and their combined power lead to a greater result for both of them!

Ha! Ghost-Eye's done all the work he needs to do - that grumpy old man needs to rest! LOVE this! And a very smart plan too, it makes me genuinely so happy to see them working together as a team instead of against each other!
Thankyou again! I'm so flattered you drew my boy Finn ;-; <3

Hehe. Thanks! It's pretty fun to draw the interactions between these two characters with kinda clashing personalities! Big Smile
