For the Marooned in Mushrooms campaign.

The party got sucked into the chaos realm trying to leave Faedin, and had to find thier way back. Bryan’s experience had him helplessly falling through nothing, unable to stop as he knew his air powers had failed him. Buried in the despair of feeling useless and alone. Bryan felt his heart giving up- the chaos from his scar grew and consumed him slowly, before he heard Kiri’s song guiding him back to the party. Not this time, Chaos.

This is a really cool piece of art, especially with how the lightning spreads across his chest as he falls into the swirling vortex. I like how well it conveys his despair as he falls downwards, right before he is rescued.

  Thank you! IT was hard to figure out how to show the chaos taking over his body. I'm glad I shrank him to make the fall look farther and highlight the emptiness around him. It was originally gonna be more zoomed in but it felt like it had no context. I had a lot of great critique to help elevate the image <3

Commented on this in the Discord, but absolutely adore this piece. The use of the negative space really helps both make the character feel small but also more focal - it really conveys the feelings you describe super well.

  Thank you!! IT was originally zoomed in, and art wise it was fine, but it lacked emotion to it, so I shrank him. I got some great critique to shrink him even more. I think it's the perfect amount to see his expression and enough of the void :3 I'm really happy how this turned out emotionally <3

Beautiful. I love the cracks of light and the sort of surrender on both the face and in the posture. I didn't see the flecks of light - the spore effect - when I looked at it on discord but they really add to it. Lovely.

  Oh yeah- Discord shrinks images. The full image has even more detail XD The sporey look I imaging is sort of humidity or something atmospheric. It's really hard to seperate the layers of the cloud and making it look like they're a continuous blanket of cloud without a "blending" happening somehow, and light was the easiest way :3 Procreate has some great brushes for adding atmosphere wow though it took a hot minute to figure them out XD

  Yes you do. And I need to get rolling on weapons and armour for my babies too… but I am just so… occupied with the RP scenes. Lol.
