"I Hate Cats"

Prompt #3 - Amaru

Amaru is a winged, catlike creature that thrives on care and kindness. Amaru is bright and affectionate, and forms strong bonds with those around them. Show your character encountering Amaru. Your piece must include your character and Amaru, though you may use any Amaru design you would like, not just the classic brown.

"Have I mentioned how much I despise cats?" Luis stared down at the winged fleabag, attempting to scare it away from his bench, or at least, off his tail. But the damn thing was persistent. Maybe it sensed weakness.

"You cuddle up to Man, pretending you are Domesticated. But, the truth is: you are still the very same animal that crept out of the woods, aren't you?" It cocked its head, its butterflied ears moving in tandem.

".... You can't even understand me, can you?" He sighed heavily, turning away. The cretin only took the opportunity to get closer, sliding past his arms, and into his lap. Luis snapped," I told you I hate you, and your freakin kind. Can't you take the hint?"

Apparently, it did not, opting to lay down for a nap. Luis... wasn't sure what to make of that. He scrubbed his face, refusing to look down. 

"... Stupid cat. Don't you know whose lap you're sitting on?"
