Born into a clan of people far from civilization but not unaware of technology, Gwen was the troubled grandchild of the clan leader. Often finding herself in precarious situations and having issues being told what to do, it wasn't out of malice that she ignored orders, she just let her curiousity get the best of her. The what if's and the could I's eventually caught up to her, at the age of eight she stumbled upon an abandoned lab hidden deep in the forest, a picture depicting an ancient pokemon artwork framed on the wall caught her eye, an inexplainable attraction to it nearly overwhelmed her before she found herself taken into the hands of a group of masked men, only to have her grandfather burst in to save her, assuring to the group that she had seen nothing, and to let her go. Reluctantly, they did, but they never truly left the village alone after that. Often times surrounding and patrolling now compared to their infrequent sightings once in a blue moon around the area. Convinced that Gwen had brought unnessicary trouble for them all, her grandfather smuggled her away in the night, finally telling her the story of her people, the connection they had to Pokemon, and the bloodline she shared of ancient elves so long ago. She finally understood why she had looked different from many of the others that visited along their journeys, but it didn't explain the feeling she got when she saw the Pokemon in the frame. Somehow...she wished to find it, maybe then it could help her understand this longing and tugging at her being. Perhaps it was just curiousity? But who knew? She now had to start a new life away from her family, her friends, and anyone she had cared about back in her home far away from where she was now. She spent the next few years living in solitude, her grandfather convinced they would come back for her once they found out "who she really was". In a turn of events, her grandfather was called away back to the old village, and all communication was cut. He had been gone for weeks, and she heard nothing more from him. Fearing the worst, she sets out to find her old village again, unsure of where exactly she is, and what happened to her family back home. She wears a somewhat more involved outfit than most trainers, due to her passion for clothes making, and even made her own Mew hoodie, in resemblance to the framed Pokemon she saw before.
