Soul Asters [TW: Animal Death]

The story of Bonk the albino fox is a long and complex one... one for another time. (at the bottom of the description)

On a nightly stroll, Carm stumbles upon the body of a little white fox; a body that is much too little. She rushes back to her garden to grab a quilt and wraps the tiny creature into a snug blanket burrito. Nestling the fox into her arms, she begins the trek back home. Carm gently swings the garden gate open and ambles her way to a certain corner of the yard, kneeling before the soft and mild glow of the soul asters. 

"It wasn't your time..." 

The stories Carm heard of the supernatural abilities of soul asters is what had pushed her to purchase the seeds from the Wildflower Festival. She tended and nurtered the seedlings for many months despite their brief flowering period in the hopes these rumors were true... Perhaps she could use it to see someone again, one last time. 

She lightly pushed the topsoil out of the way to create a well, placing the foxy burrito inside. With a small sigh, she covered the body with earth, patting it down tenderly.

Carmine held her breath, anticipating... something... anything, watching the glittery pollen dance in the breeze. 

Gradually, the soul asters began to shine brighter, a faded wisp materializing amongst the flowers. Peering at the entity taking shape, Carm watched the spirit of the little furball twitch his whiskers. His body's no longer of this realm, but his spirit may still roam safely, Carmine's here to make sure of that.

BOOM pet ghost fox. the soul asters allow the spirits of bodies buried in its patches to roam about the mortal plane.

Originally, Bonk was an arctic fox from me n Charli's Minecraft world, buuuuut i'm just too lazy to explain what the fuck an arctic fox is doing in the middle of a sunny & green forest climate so he's just albino now :>
