Trying to defeat the boss without directly fighting it, Carm spotted a wounded Brier on the battlefield and carried her to safety where she could tend to her wounds. Brier insists that after a quick patch up, she's equipped to jump back into action - Carmine, however, refuses to discharge her patient until her health's been COMPLETELY restored.
ngl, got this idea after inkstained42 needed to heal before a duocast - sorry I'm not very creative XD This was actually really fun! Don't get me wrong, the pose was a real mf, but it was okay in the end ^^ I'm glad how it turned out. The lighting was something new too!
I really hope I depicted Brier correctly, I tried to do my research before making this piece =w= her hair was super fun to draw & colour!
Brier belongs to inkstained42 , thanks for duocasting with me, my dude! ^^

You were worried about getting the character right but I absolutely think you did! Brier's generally only will REALLY fight if she believes she is protecting someone. And if you are protecting someone, should you stop just because of a few cuts and bruises? As such, I think that despite the light silly tone that both characters seem to be very much themselves! Carmine helping how she can without fighting and Brier being doggedly selfless (and a bit stupid. Sorry Brier)
tbh, that's got to be one of my favourite character archetypes, after breaking basically their whole body they're still insisting they're fine XD
I'll definitely have to draw more of Brier sometime, there's just so much potential >;3
I gotta do some more character development w Carm bc I feel like she doesn't have a defining personality yet TwT
I was actually planning smth that might help me with that - I read somewhere that instead of doing "likes and dislikes", draw them reacting to certain situations like being asked for help or what finally pushes them to their limit :0
