Power of Will

Title inspired by this track which I listened to on repeat while drawing.

I really like how this came out!! I love doing intense lighting and shading, it makes any piece look sooooo good. Flames are something that I haven't drawn in... a bit, and I've never been the best at them, but hopefully they turned out alright! I just like making things look glowy.

When Galaxii was first learning the arcane arts, what came naturally first to him was fire. Blue flames leapt from his palms and were able to encircle him, providing a wall of fire to act as a shield in a pinch. This gave him an edge in combat against beasts, as most feral monsters would be afraid of the fire and be stunned for a few moments, giving him an opportunity to strike, or at the very least hurt them if they had no thought to pause before charging. Except, of course, for dragons, on which his elemental power did little to no effect. Over the years, he learned to hone the element, able to throw up walls of fire and small fireballs to aim at enemies.

Galaxii has a less-than-positive relationship with fire, however. Its close association with the greatest threat to his home kingdom leaves him with mixed feelings. Fire has the ability to destroy a whole kingdom if left unchecked, and so he tries to not use this set of arcane ability unless he's in a less populated area.
