... well, whatever Morkeleb considers "great." Usually it's for his own benefit, and probably focused on his cult and their beliefs. But, he does place his father Vallos upon a pedestal, the ideal Stryx for his project. His father could most likely care less about whatever Morkeleb has planned, as long as he poses no immediate threat. Vallos is incredibly powerful, able to work his way into anything he wants with enough effort and plotting. Morkeleb hopes to gain at least the attention of his father, and ultimately the recognition and hospitality he lacked and desired as a youngling. Vallos, on top of these traits, is cruel. Morkeleb's expectations from his father are not far from ludacris in Vallos' mind. What Morkeleb wants is nothing short of wishing for a miracle. Morkeleb never knew his mother either, but doesn't much care to find her. After all, she's not known to have any special qualities or powers to teach him, so why should he waste his time?

Morkeleb believes his father is the best of the best at what he does, and he wouldn't be entirely wrong. Vallos is a master of deceit and manipulation of others, but he's certianly not one you'd be happy to find down a dark alleyway alone. Because Vallos has his own special abilities and powers, Morkeleb believes he is entitled to something smilar, or will at least be able to control what he is working to find and release. Vallos knows of his son's wishes, but merely decides to watch and wait. He knows Morkeleb won't be strong enough to control this power. He knows his son will fail. He doesn't much care, either. If his son wants to go on a suicide mission unprepared, so be it.
