I never understood owl anatomy either. Its the flat-looking faces I tell ya, same reason why I can draw them meddling HOOMUNS.
I'd say you have a decent grasp on owls after looking at these, all the faces look good to me. I especially like how you did the wings! And honestly you've just made cascade my fav tail type lol
