Maleficent and A-Ziz
Not sure if you would call it a comic but a story line for sure. A-Ziz, power hungry mage, met Maleficent - witch of the North. She was smitten by his intellect and manipulative charm, he had a way of bewitching others. Maleficent was no fool though, she suspected he was not just interested in her for her rotten personality, but for her vast knowledge in magic. For a brief while they had an explosive relationship full of magical passion. However once it became more and more obvious A-Ziz was after Maleficent's most valuable tomes, her fuse finally burnt.
He was a powerful mage, especially for his young age, however he stood no chance against a furious Maleficent. In a last defense act he managed to fend of her lethal blows, paying a very high price though.

The stage is set for baby A-Ziz melting hearts wherever he goes, unaware of the chaos and destruction he has caused in his previous life.
