Right, so...how do I start?
Hi! I'm Dazzle. I just tumbled in on a friend's tentative recommendation while searching for a new home base all these years after leaving the DA life behind. It's a pleasure to join a blossoming art and writing community at such an early stage in its life. I look forward to meeting you all.
Lemme share just a little about myself!
I'm a college student, studio art major with a foot in the theater deptartment (my minor!) and half a mind for graphic design. I stick mostly to traditional mediums. Watercolor, colored pencil, graphite and charcoal being some of my favorites. I'm also a writer and roleplayer who loves worldbuilding. I sing a little, too. Honestly, I like to throw myself at literally anything that is- or could be turned into -a creative outlet.
The character in this painting is my 'sona, Dazzle the wyrm and part time anthro dragon. She's an artist/author avatar who shows up when I need to draw myself.
Now, if you're still here, I'd like to invite you to take a turn! Please, tell me a little about yourself if you'd be so kind. Do you have a character you use to respresent you in your artwork or online shenanigans?

What kind of stuff do you write? I also enjoy world building (I probably get myself a little too engrossed in it, tbh), and love the heck out of a well developed setting. I haven't gotten around to too much actual writing myself, but from what I have, I enjoy fantasy, slice of life, and contemplative kinds of stuff. Almost everything I post has dragons, I enjoy indulging myself with them. Speaking of which, I enjoy your sona! I haven't seen someone with a wyrm sona before, almost everyone has the 4 legged, winged type, with a few wyverns and lungs thrown in. My sona is a winged lindorm (or lindwyrm, or lindworm, or whichever other spelling it has haha), shown in my icon pic.
I'm a digital artist mostly, but I also enjoy watercolor and sculpture here and there (the later more when I have the utilities to do so). A lot of my content comes from whatever story I'm working on at the time, I'm still figuring out how to get myself to complete these, but I'm getting there. I enjoy talking about stories, characters, concepts, fantasy in general, as well as cats, especially about my two feline sons.
Maaajor mood on your quip about figuring out how to finish a story. I start new novel or webcomic outlines from time to time but haven't worked up the drive to finish anything. We'll both get there one of these days
I likewise love talking about writing and art, general fantasy, and cats. I'm a cat owner too! I have one soft four-legged son. He's sleeping next to me as I write- my boy is probably the sweetest cat I've ever met. I can't go anywhere in my apartment without being followed.
Really? Aww! Both of my kitkats are pretty sweet, they like to chill out near me. My gold boy is a lap cat, 100%!
