And neither did I because I really wanted to paint my toko and his handler (who is the only one who kind of stayed in the drawing because he has dreadlocks as well) but during the sketching out phase my brain went "what if we turn it into a polar bear" and my two brain cells just really love dumb ideas.
Anyways practising using references, because my perception of the world sucks, and focusing the viewer's eye on what is important by not detailing everything. Very hard to do.

If I was to critique this, I'd say that this picture could benefit from a more dramatic perspective for the figures. Match them up a little more with this massive, mysterious wall that marches towards the viewer. Also, it's difficult to tell the scale of the bear - it feels like the bear should be quite near the frontmost part of the wall, but the bear's hind paw is on the same level as the middle of the wall. Could break up that line between paw and wall?
Excellent job on you for using references. And I think you've nailed your goal in controlling the level of detail and the viewer's attention. This painting's a joy to look at, truly. :3
But thank you very much for the feedback! I can definitely use that for my future ideas
Absolutely! I much look forward to seeing more amazing pieces from you! And now I do see where you were going with the wall, too, that makes perfect sense actually~
What world is this?
