Introduce yourself

Harlow and Vernon met at a not so great time, Harlow was new to town and decided to visit for the day. He rarely visited often and usually kept to himself and his small pumpkin farm. He usually went in the early morning, when there wasn't many mimes out to avoid any awkward conversations. He wasn't one for conversation, sinc he rarely knew what to say.
 

Today, he bought some new fresh soil to help the Pumpkins grow better this year, he was estatic "can't wait to see them this year!" He thought to himself. His heart jumped at the thought of small baby pumpkins. In all his excitement he didn't realize someone coming right towards him and bumped right into them!

The Mime, now all covered in dirt, screamed "what have you DONE to my beautiful coat!!!" it was Alyssa, the princess her self. She started crying out " this TOOOK ALLLL MORNING to look PRESTINE" Harlow could barely remember this mime, not to mention the one with her. He remembered once he had met them, but it didn't go any farther than that.
 

Harlow hopped back, trying to find a response, " uhhh uh Sorryyy, I wasn't-" Alyssa cut him off "sORRy? It'll take all day to take this dirt off! " the other mime with her, Arthur, stood off to the side. He mouthed to Harlow a "sorry" unable to calm her down in her moment of "grief" if you'd call it that.

Before it could go any further, a black and grey mime stepped in, "hey, calm down. It's just some dirt.." Alyssa, even Arthur, stood in shock for a moment that the mime had spoken to them. Alyssa spoke up "well! It's a lot more than -" she had been cut off this time by Arthur "perhaps it's best if we leave Alyssa, go home?" Alyssa grumbled and shot a small glare at the Black mime "alright alright". She shook some of the dirt off and stuck her head high "it's is the polite thing to do.." and walked off with Arthur.

Harlow watched her leave as the black mime spoke up to him "sorry for her, she really isn't that bad. You just caught her at not the best time, she's not a morning mime you see" 

Harlow didn't know what to say other than well, "thank you, I wasn't sure what to say to her." He looked glumly at all the soil on the ground and mumbled "it's not just dirt.." 

The mime responded "I'm sorry about your um, soil, we can go get more. I'm sure you need it"

Harlow's ears poked up "we?" 
The mime chuckled "yeah we, I wouldn't want you to bump into Alyssa again without back up.. I'm Vernon by the way"

Harlow smiled "I'm Harlow.." it had been a while since he genuinely smiled, at least to something that wasn't a pumpkin or plant, he liked it.

Vernon chuckled once again "you don't have to be nervous around me ya know, I offered to help, remember?" Harlow smiled again "yeah, thank you.." he would have to bake him a pie at least for a thank you. 
 

They picked up what remained of the soil and ventured back to the store and Harlow's farm. They've been best friends ever since. 
 

Not to mention Vernon got a pretty good blueberry pie out of it.

Thats it! Hope you all liked it. While this drawing doesn't show the story, it shows how they became friends. Vernon introduced Harlow to some of his friends and pushed him to make a few of his own. 
 

Alyssa later apologized and tried her best go make up for it, but Harlow said it was ok. He wouldn't have met Vernon otherwise.
