A Nap One Way or Another

Felt the need to experiment with a possibly more efficient shading method for upcoming commissions, and what better way to test it than on a white bird-dragon in a forest where I'm still trying to figure the thing that is trees with a couple of chicks.
 
Looks like one didn't quite have the same idea of taking a forced rest outside away from the comfortable warmth of the adoption center, but their chaperone isn't keen on objections against getting a dose of fresh crisp air. There's also probably a well placed talon on the youngster's tail under that wing involved too.

    I love how fluffy they are??? The feather work here is delightful, I'd be down for a nap, it probably would be very soft!

      Yee, I've always enjoyed how deceptively soft feathers are, and birds in general!
