My favorite character from Rurouni Kenshin. He doesn't follow any ideology and is free from any political affiliation in the manga.

He's not a hermit because he wants to be one with nature or any of those cliches people have about the old masters that live up in the mountains or away from society; he's a hermit because he specifically finds dealing with people annoying.

I like characters that go and do their own thing and don't give a damn what other people think.

Nice job with the shading, I like how soft the light feel. The waterfall in the back, though, feels out of place. The light/dark values in it are a bit to stark, and as such it clashes with the atmosphere- another thing about it, it may be better to have it be less blue and more white and grey.
The cape is dynamic, you handled the folds well.
