Okay, I said I’ll write more about this and the symbols I used and why. And since It’s Friday evening, I have the time t actually do this. Since this is gonna be long-ish, we start under the cut.

The concept: since Tarot cards seem to be all the rage lately, I always wanted to do one - I tried to get the concept with the picture of Eleonore I made, but couldn’t quite get there.

Anyway. the tarot card I picked for Siona is XX - Judgement. The meanings include in general triumph of good over evil, Release and Truth.

Some things are self explanatory - if you have any knowledge of the world of “The Dark Eye” that is.

The Raven is the the symbol of Boron, God of Death and Sleep, Dreams, Memories and Prophecy. Siona belongs to the Templar Order which was founded to fight against heresy but soon prioritized fighting against the undead and anything demonic invading from the east.

The Broken Wheel is another symbol of Boron and death - you can find the broken wheel on any graveyard in Aventuria just as the Cross in our world.

I chose a stormy, but clearing sky by intent, as it symbolises the end of the Demonic Invasion Crisis and the reappearance of Light and Hope.

For this reason I choose to include greenery as well - to show that life will grow again.

And here we come to the poppies. The red colour representing all the blood that soaked the earth during the time of crisis and the petals are representative of the soldiers that fell under Siona’s command.

Also, the meaning of the poppy in flower-speech fits really well:

• Remembering the fallen of various wars and armed conflicts
• Peace in death
• Messages delivered in dreams
• Resurrection and eternal life

This brings us to the last bit - music. Some pieces that I listened to and fit quite well:
