Faction Swap

Posted Mar 31, 2012, 4:21:41 AM UTC

I decided to draw Yuki as a Roller Bandito (whose faction colour is green) instead of his usual faction the UnderGround (whose faction colour is orange)

Yuki is starting to suffer from the same syndrome that Lloyd did and every time I draw him, his nose gets bigger. His complexion is getting darker too, but that’s intentional.

What are these colours. I never use these colours.

(yeah I know a lot of my personal art is boring headshots, but I needed to get rid of this art block I had)

Not a "boring" headshot, a very neat headshot. I love the hair. The make up is intriguing. Going to have to dig through your gallery in search of the rest of this story...

I don't have too, too much about Yuki on PD, but you'll find more on the RP he was created for http://tewi.us/tegaki/sortbygroup.php?t=17886

I just ended up really liking him, though I do plan on using him for a comic project in the future.

Oh your Yuki character is pretty cute. I like the combination of his skin tone with his two toned hair.

Ahhh thank you~ I'm getting more and more attached to him as his character develops.

I do like the colours...! And the art itself is also really neat, I'm glad to see images from you :3
Are you doing this with some vector program? It's all so clear and neat...

Thank you so much, I'm really pleased with how this one turned out.

This is actually with Painttool SAI using the default "Ink Pen" brush so this is free hand. I tend to work on really large resolution canvases (350 dpi or larger), so when it gets sized down for posting, it looks a lot cleaner.

I don't know if new version of SAI has this brush automatically anymore, I know I bought a second copy for my laptop and a lot of the default brushes have changed?

        You're welcome Corky Smile

Oh I see, I'm not familiar with that program. Haha, cool , resizing is a useful thing, I use it very often with digital works. ^^'

I really like SAI and I think it cost me $51 to buy the license for it, so it's way cheaper than buying the next upgrade for Photoshop.

Woah, yeah defenitely cheaper! I've seen some really neat art done by SAI, I like the system how it smoths things. But since I have PS and it takes me tieme to get used to different interfaces I will try to get the best out of what I have ^^
