UPDATINGGGG.
The lady Ctarl on the left is Jyara, and she belongs to ~Skittlesfish on DeviantART. From what I gathered from our conversations, she's a merc/assassin, fights in underground fight clubs (no Tyler Durdens, of course), and wears yellow makeup. Don't know too much about her history yet!

Teru is the gentleman in the middle. He's a cocky, aggressive fighter, and lives for the thrill of beating people up. He owns? a club (still working things out with him, too!), and runs an underground fighting ring through the basement. So he doesn't do too poorly for money. But he'll sell himself out as a merc if it means he gets to bust some heads. He likes booze, punching people, ladies, <s>fine literature</s>, sweet food, and giant buffets.

Kala Kitakita (the only one with a last name I know for suresies!) is the young lady on the right. She was raised to be a tracker to honor her family's traditional role on their home world. She became a bounty hunter with this training, and went to fine universities to study once she got old enough. Her parents raised her to be the best, and she took their guidance seriously. She's bright and likes to enjoy life in the moment, so often comes across as not being very threatening or serious, but she'll wear a smile while she's making you eat your own teeth, because fighting is fun. When she gets really into tracking, she is a fierce lady.

Kala and Jyara have traveled together for years--not exactly spacers, they have a cheap ship so they can chase the money if they have to. They set up their homes on Sentinel III, don't know anything about Starwind & Hawking (except their television commercials are rubbish), and have carved out a little niche for themselves. Teru is a sometimes companion, I think, and pops in and out of their lives, gives them jobs and fun times, and is generally the growly grump to their mellow/fun time personalities.
