Something I'm just now getting around to scanning from my Illustration Methods class. A few projects back, Groff (my professor) wanted us to try the Ala Prima method. Ala Prima meaning, direct painting, which means there is no real drawing you work up from you just start painting. And if you make a mistake? PAINT IT OUT. D8

Its my worst nightmare, because I can't paint, let alone with acrylics. The class itself is six hours long and he told us to spend the entire time if need be, but he would come around and tell you when your piece looked done to him. It took me about three hours to complete mine. I used this image as reference - [link] which we were required to bring in. Not everyone painted from THIS photo, but we had to bring one in.

I'm pretty fond of this one considering I love the texturey brush strokes I somehow got in there. For 3 hours its not so bad, its a pretty good speedpaint.
