The (mostly) final version of my WIP of my OC Zeth Gant gambling away. I donno if this cured my lack of being able to draw, but it was fun anyways ^^ I'll see when I get to drawing straight off the top of my head how I'm going before I call myslef healed again ^^;

Anyways- comment copy paste cause there's not alot more to say on this that the WIP didn't...

I based his face a bit around the actor Colin Farrell ( ) and I think I've spent about 10 hours on it now. I'm getting a bit faster at it XD Colin had this WONDERFUL "Oh hai" expression that I just had to keep (He has some great expressions ^^, and most of the 2 hours were deciding what to do with the mouth, since the reference only had the eye expression I liked, but not alot more.

Still not 100% finished cause I'm not happy with the shading.

I'm going to open this for advancd crit though- fire away. Anything you want, specially about the lighting.

Please don't comment however on the chips. I just realised I should push their values around a bit... they don't stand out from eachother much >.>

I love how it looks!!! And I agree with Minimaid. Still very awsome and way better than anything I could come up with!

  GAH! I'm so slow at answering comments!! Thank you for the comment. This one was alot better than I thought it would be XD I think I was channelling a much cooler muse than I am now >.> It was very easy to draw which is surprisingly bizarre ^^;

  Yeah- some pics are easy, and some aren't. I wish I knew what strikes that inspiration button with me... I think it's coffee. I seem to draw more depending on how wound up I am on caffeine >.>

  Yeah i know what you mean. Sadly for me my star signs have to be in harmony. My agressive dragon and easily put out of place Libra sign really argue. I get the weirdest mood swings and even weirder art. Needless to say I'm pretty weird. And I'm sorry if this comment comes in twice

Teehee! Advanced Critique it is, luv. I owe you at least so much.

First off - I think the poker chips are coming along great! Once you up the contrast like you say you're doing anyway, they should be top-notch.

Same with the glass. The shine and texture there looks pretty darned awesome.

For shading - I think one of the things that would help would be the darkern the forehead shadow where the temple would be. This should help meld the darker and lighter aspects of the drawing together, because that area is so centrally located. All in all, I think the shadows on his face could be exaggerated a bit more without losing detail.

The next thing that pulls my attention is his hand. The ball of his hand looks to me to be coming down too low? I've attached a visual critique to explain myself better.

That smoke, though, is to die for. I love how this is looking right now!
