Tigers and Starry Night

Posted Jul 29, 2005, 9:32:36 AM UTC
This is a project I did for an art class I took last year. We had to choose two paintings from famous artists and integrate them in a mannar which contrasted the warm and cool colors in each painting. The two paintings I used as refrence for this project are Salvador Dali's "Flight of the Bee" which can be viewed here: http://www.princeton.edu/~romance/images/dali-bee.jpg
And "Starry Night" by Vincent Van Gogh: http://www.lip.pt/~catarina/starry-night.jpg
Drawn in pencil and painted with acrylic paint on 15in x 20in illistration board.

Wow. This really is pure genius the way you integrated those two completely different pictures together! My breath literally caught in my throat when I saw this; even besides the incredible composition of the picture, it's just so well drawn and rendered! This is one of the best, most original pieces I've seen in a long time! Keep up the awesome work, EBS Worship

Awesome EBS! This is nothing short of amazing. That is so neat how you have the two different styles overlapping in it. That is so very ingenius. I am using rather large words to try to make myself sound smarter. Is it working ? Anyhow, I love the picture. It is beautiful. ^_^
