I love how real this looks. You've drawn her just perfectly; not making her so skinny and gaunt that the prospect of such a thing would be unrealistic. You also have a gift for shading folds. Lord knows it's one of the hardest things to do, and you do it perfectly. The one and only thing about this that's got me wondering is her 'angle'. She seems to be tipping upward a bit. I think the effect would work if she were by herself, but the amazing wrought iron work you've done is fairly straight. Maybe a quick crop and a little degreeage turn would fix it *degreeage...I love it!* Otherwise, you still continue to amaze me and I have the greatest of appreciation for your work.
I think what you are seeing with the 'tilting up' is a bit of an optical illusion. She is sitting straight, on a natural landscape (which is never perfectly flat anyhow) holding her leg with one hand and caressing the grass, so to speak, with the other. Even if she were somewhat crooked, it wouldn't bother me due to the fact that she is not meant to be on a perfectly flat surface.
Thanks very much again, luv, I appreciate your thoughtful comment!
Thnaks so much for going through the WHOLE gallery! *grin* I'm very happy that you like my work and, no, I don't think you're obsessed and I'm not creeped out. I think it's pretty neat, actually, to have people who like to see my art.
Well each time i went to the art work roulette, i always clicked on your drawing so i thought to check the gallery , i dont regret it! But my favorite is elemental...and...ah i love them all!
I wasn't trying to be anonymous, I just forgot I had to sign messages here. I'm still not used to this place or any of the functions. I'm a slow learner when it comes to simple computer stuff.
This is gorgeous!!! I love the border, the folds in the clothing are great (I have such a hard time with that part), she's very pretty, the shading is great, and the pose is awesome...I love it. great job!
Perfect XD Ah!!! I love it ^^ Her dress and chains and linky bits and ohhhh- I can see your efforts ^^ I think her cheek may be out a little though- I'm not sure... something is not quite right there- only for the sake of giving a real crit. You did an awesome job ^^
Scanning does some weird stuff- doesn't it? No your effort into your pictures is amazing- Not alot of people put the effort in, but when someones does- it shows. Definetly in this. This is most definetly a picture you can spend a while looking at to truely get the full feel for it ^^
Nice one! Norse mythology rocks, btw (maybe because i'm their neightbour? Naah...) That... ornament (is it a word? ) looks really beautiful, although it loses in beauty to Freyja, but anyway!
Ornament is a word, yes.. though I don't know if it's quite the right one for what you're describing. Decorative border is the best way I can think of to describe it... Unless you're talking about her necklaces?
It would be a nice surprise if I did, this time, but it's not necessary to me. I enter them to keep the site going, more than anything.. When it comes to art, I'm just not very competitive.
Wow, this is beautifu. I love the detail you put into it and how you made it seem so realistic. This is wonderful and I applaud you on your wonderful work here.
Yes it does show, hun. You have put so much detail into this one and it does shine through. I love the knot-work that I have seen on so many of your pictures. Your pictures are done with a certain precision and graceful beauty and I hope you win the contest.
Actually, in all honestly, I don't care if I win the contest. I only post the link there because I tihnk people who are interested should know that site exists... Then I might be able to stop entering pieces in contests (I hate contests... I'm just not competitive with my art).
Thanks so much for all the lovely compliments - now and always. This is a new type of knotwork, based on wrought iron designs. I've been getting back into this whole border thing as of late... I think it shows. LOL! Thanks again, luv, for your time.
Your submission is posted to our site but it hasn't yet been added to an Art RPG queue for point counting, approval, and/or reward redemption. Submit it to the queue to get your rewards.
