Dragyn Lady (colored)

Posted Feb 10, 2007, 8:38:15 PM UTC

Here's the colored version of my earlier pic. The awesome coloring was done by Orlando Espinoza, also known as WildeKarde here in PD. A link to his gallery will be put in as soon as I figure out how.

The character Dragyn Lady belongs to Force IV comics.

    WOW..indeed this colouring is really great.
    the tones and hues are really great! especially on the skin, the metal parts and the building. really great details. my fav detail must be her left leg - that just looks perfect for me.
    however the overall image would need some "over-all shading". i mean..the details and the textures are perfect but there are some shadows missing the shading on her face is not as dynamic so it a bit looks "flat". or she should have a shadow on the tube.
    that tube is really cool too btw...
    i just mean the image would "look more as a whole" if the tones wouldn't be all "equal" (i hope it made sense)

    overall, i'm jealous since i can't colour this well digitally. XP

    keep up the good work, guys! =3

      Thanks, I'm getting better as I do more. I'm still learning how to colorize. Thanks. Omn my next one I'll keep it in mind.

        Haha and I'm just starting to figure how to apply colours that are not messy (doing the very basics now actually) plus trying to get better in digital oainting generally. XD;
        So in a way I still feel "funny" to give critique on your work but in tones, shades I am somwhwat capable I guess...^^'
        And I'm glad if you didn't take my words the wrong way then. And cool, you have very good eye and skill for it already, really impressive. =D

          If I didn't want people to express their feeling I'd not post the art. Its hard when you are working on something for hours to really see what you are doing. I see some places I can Improve and some I'm impressed with. I'm always learning. If you ever need tips just ask.

            Haha ok. ^^
            Yeah I know what you mean about long hours on the image...
            Thanks, i'm learning (and practicing simple tasks about) colour-theory right now. Then I jump on lightings and stuff... Right now I wouldn't really know what to ask.. o_o
